  • Conducting extensive legal research,
  • Assisting judges with speech drafts and academic writing,
  • Creating headnotes of judgments, and
  • Carrying out additional tasks as assigned by the Hon’ble Judges or supervising authorities.

Disqualification Criteria

  • Suspension or removal from the roll of the Bar Council,,
  • Prior incidents of professional misconduct, as judged by the Bar Council,
  • Being barred from exams by the High Court or other recruitment authorities,

Salary

Selected candidates will get a monthly salary of ₹30,000.


Selection Process for Madras High Court Recruitment 2024

The selection process includes:

  1. Viva Voce (Oral Interview): Candidates will be invited to a viva voce at either the Principal Seat in Chennai or the Madurai Bench.
  2. Screening Test: If deemed necessary, a screening test may also be conducted.

Note: Candidates will not be provided travel or daily allowances for the viva voce or any screening test.
